How Cherry Survival handles your privacy on the website and the server
Updated
This website has no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no tracking. Its leaderboards show Minecraft usernames, heads and in-game stats. The game server logs usernames, UUIDs, IP addresses, chat and in-game actions so staff can moderate. Discord and the store are separate services with their own privacy policies.
What does the Cherry Survival website collect?
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare handles each request to deliver and protect the site, which includes your IP address and browser details.
- The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- The leaderboards and the home page leaders are loaded by your browser from our public API at api.cherrysurvival.com. They show Minecraft usernames and in-game stats.
- The online count in the menu bar is loaded from this site (/stats.json, real players only). It holds player counts, never usernames.
- Player heads are images loaded from crafthead.net and mc-heads.net. Those services see your IP address when the images load. Fonts and icons are served from this site.
- The Copy IP button uses your browser's clipboard only when you press it.
What does the Cherry Survival Minecraft server log?
When you play, the game server logs your username, UUID and IP address, along with chat, commands and in-game actions such as blocks placed and broken. Staff use this to moderate the server and to deal with cheating, griefing, VPNs and ban evasion. In-game stats such as levels, money and blocks mined feed the public leaderboards, under your Minecraft username.
Which other services are involved?
- Discord: the community and support run on Discord, under Discord's own privacy policy.
- Store: store.cherrysurvival.com runs on PayNow, which handles payments under its own privacy policy. The store is optional.
- Minecraft: logging in uses your Minecraft account from Mojang and Microsoft, under their policies.
